With over 15 years of culinary experience, Raffles Jakarta Executive Chef, Chef Matias Sebastian Ayala brings a wealth of culinary knowledge and creativity to Raffles Jakarta. He oversees the entire culinary brigade of Raffles, including banqueting events, Arts Café by Raffles, The Writers Bar, Navina Pool Bar, as well as In-Room Dining. Originally from Argentina, Chef Matias culinary journey has taken him all over the world. His travels have provided him with one-of-a-kind culinary insights, the ability to fuse various cuisines, and a constant focus on selecting fresh and authentic ingredients. Chef Matias signature dishes are characterized by the combination of great flavours with stunning presentations. The vibrant colors that define his plates match perfectly against the backdrop of Hendra Gunawan art on display throughout Raffles Jakarta. Chef Matias is the winner of F&B Master of Hilton MEA in 2013, and has won multiple awards over the years such as Time Out Best South American restaurant 2013, Time Out Best Nightlife Award 2015, and Fact Award Best International restaurant 2017.
