Felix Budisetiawan

The Dharmawangsa Jakarta has appointed Felix Budisetiawan as its new Executive Chef since February 2015. In his role as Executive Chef, Chef Felix will be overseeing all of the hotel’s culinary operations including the restaurants and lounges, hotel banquet and Bimasena Club. Bringing 30 years of international experience in the hospitality industry, Chef Felix has mastered the world of commercial cookery, where he utilized his talents and skills within various hotel and restaurant chains throughout Asia and USA. Chef Felix, who was born and raised in Bali, realized his passion in culinary when he started to help for the family business and carried on as a culinary school student in Nusa Dua, Bali, where he studied several managerial aspects of the culinary industry. His expertise expands to the gastronomic arts of traditional and modern Indonesian as well as French cooking style with the simple yet flavorsome and mouthwatering cuisines, with specialization in Indonesian cooking style. After completing his diploma in Culinary and Hospitality School in Bali, majoring in Food Production, he started his apprenticeship at Hyatt Regency Surabaya and Starwood Hotels. He moved to Bali into Sheraton and Luxury Collection Hotel as Sous Chef, he then worked as Executive Sous Chef and Executive Chef in Nikko Bali and Hard Rock Hotel Bali. In 2006, Chef Felix moved to Jakarta and challenged himself to be a part of international hotel chains. He was appointed as Executive Chef at Sheraton, followed by other well-known city hotels in Jakarta as well as JW Marriott Surabaya. Taking challenge to explore Asia’s culinary world, Chef Felix, who also loves painting and is an interior design enthusiast, return to the metropolitan city of Jakarta and joined The Dharmawangsa Jakarta.
