OKU Japanese Restaurant is helmed by Chef Kazumasa Yazawa. OKU offers a modern take on Japanese dishes combined with traditional flair. Fresh seafood is imported from Tsukiji Fish Market twice per week to ensure that the restaurant only serves the freshest and top-notch-quality sashimi, sushi and other seafood-based items. Its Zen-like atmosphere and laid-back jazzy vibes makes it perfect for business lunches, special-occasion dinners and after-work destinations.
Known as Chef Kaz, He first came to OKU with a wealth of experience and an excellent pedigree. He was Executive Chef at a well-known Japanese restaurant named Izy Dining Restaurant & Bar in Singapore, which he opened in 2013. The restaurant was listed among the top ten restaurants in Singapore by the UK’s Guardian newspaper. Prior to that, he oversaw the award-winning Waku Ghin Restaurant at the Marina Bay Sands.
